How Do I Succeed on Social Media?
Social media marketing has become one of the most common methods of marketing in today’s business world, and one of the best ways to improve your business’s visibility is by getting more engagement on your social media pages. But it isn’t easy to increase the number of eyes on social media posts – you need the right strategies!
Here are four ways to boost the performance of your pages and get more conversions from your social audience.
1) Create Social Media Strategy
Running successful social media accounts requires planning. If you’re working with ProFusion, we develop a strategy for your company that involves goals, brand standards, content plans, and more. This strategy help you know what you should post about, when, and why.
The strategy also helps to ensure that the content of your posts is related directly to your business. Commonly when you don’t start with a strategy, your posts can seem disjoined and unrelated you your business goals. A Social Strategy helps keep your content on target.
2) Identify Your Target Audience
When creating social media pages, it’s important to identify who your target audience is before you begin posting content. Doing so can help you determine which type of content will resonate with your followers and help you figure out how to reach a larger audience.
After all, it doesn’t do any good if you gain 1,000 new followers if they aren’t going to buy anything from your store or share what you post with their friends. People often fall into a trap of assuming that if they like their content, their target audience will too. And while they might LIKE the same content you like, it might not inspire them to support your business.
Your content has to be aimed at educating, entertaining, or inspiring your audience in ways that are relevant to your products or services.
3) Choose Your Platform
While there are literally thousands of social media platforms out there, you only need a few. Think about what your target market is interested in and focus on platforms they’re likely to use. The most popular platforms for businesses include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. If you’re just starting out with social media marketing, it’s best to focus on one or two first.
We always suggest Instagram and Facebook as a bare minimum. These two platforms use the same ads platform, so they are easy to use together. They are also the most popular social media platforms (aside from YouTube). LinkedIn is our most commonly suggested 3rd platform.
4) Integrate
Your website is the hub of all your marketing efforts, and social is no exception. Make sure whatever social platforms you are using connect back to your website. Instagram allows one link in your bio, so we suggest making a links page on your website. There are also great services (like LinkTree) that allow you to create a links page if you aren’t able to make a links page on your website.
You should also make sure your domain is claimed, and your tracking pixels are all installed. This allows you to reach out to people that have interacted with you through their accounts and inform them about new content you post. Facebook Pixels enable you to create custom audiences based on different events, such as when someone visits one of your pages or interacts with one of your posts, etc. The idea is that they’ll see what other posts might interest them as well. Overall, integrating Facebook pixels can help increase your traffic and improve engagement over time.
The more integrated your marketing efforts are, the more seamlessly the conversion process will go!
